This ranks as my all-time favorite comedy that did the impossible in being more laugh-out-loud funnier than #2 on my list. The two leading actors have never been particular favorites of mine but there is just something intensely funny about their antics. This is also the movie that introduced (for me) the hilarious Isla Fisher who is fast becoming one of my favorite actresses.

A movie that spawned several sequels and spin-off movies but the original is still unmatched. The movie was released at a time when teen comedies were the vogue and (though several appear on this list) this one is top of the heap.

Will Ferrell is not usually a comedian who would occupy any favorite list of mine but he is gut-busting funny in this movie. I saw (and subsequently bought) this movie on the advice of a friend and did not regret it.

This movie needs to be on Blu-ray and considering its cult status its surprising it is not on the format yet (as of Dec. 2009). Billy Crystal is his usual frenetic best and Meg Ryan still had that all-American girl image (remember when she had that image?). This movie still has one of the most famous movie quotes ever (delivered by the Director's mother no less) - "I'll have what she's having!"

"Spies Like Us" is a nostalgic favorite and, as someone who is a 007 fan, I dragged my friends to see this back in 1985 after I read the novel in one sitting. It works wonderfully well and the jokes were even funnier given some of the background in the book. I would recommend giving this a spin and remembering when movies did not have to have gross-out humor to be classed as a comedy.

Is it strictly a comedy? Well regardless of that this movie has some truly hilarious scenes and IS my #1 guilty pleasure. Mauled by critics on its release and ignored by movoegoers (except myself and a handful of others) this movie has gone on to become a cult classic with legions of fans. I am hoping this movie makes its way to Blu-ray someday soon.

Perhaps not as laugh out loud funny as the other movies on this list but this teen romance has some seriously funny moments in it and made me laugh a number of times.

Yes, I am one of those that prefers the remake to the 1961 original. Perhaps it is because I saw the remake first or perhaps it is a preference for the lead actors but this movie has more rewatch value for me than any other movie out there. A real, genuine feel-good movie.

THE culture clash classic. Paul Hogan was well-known on British and Australian TV channels when this movie came out but this movie made him a household name in the USA. In some ways I prefer the sequel but this one gets the nod from me for being the original.

Led to a sequel that failed to live up to this culture clash movie. Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson are an inspired team - classic!
