One of the few adaptations to bring a comic book character into the real world that REALLY works. Christopher Nolan directs a tight film with amazing acting from each member of the cast (do I even need to mention Heath Ledger?)

The plot isn't as unique, or as strong as Hellboy's first journey to film, but fresh off of Pan's Labyrinth Director Del Toro provides plenty of fantasy based eye-candy.

Sam Mendes changes a lot from the more action-oriented graphic novel, but the spirit of this father-son story is well-intact. A great adaptation in the fact that it changes the plot around, but keeps its heart and soul intact.

While I doubt anyone can feasibly fill the shoes of Patrick Stewart and McKellen, I do think this may be the best plot line in an X-Men film to date. James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender have big shoes to fill, and though they don't surpass Stewart and McKellen, they do comfortably wear their shoes.

I don't feel it holds up as well as other films, and of course it isn't too consistent with its source material...regardless, its style inspired future superhero movies, and it did inspire darker looks into the genre so this makes it worthy of being on this list.

A very fun movie lead by its star Robert Downey Jr. Great fun from start to finish

Not a great movie, but it certainly is fun to watch.
